The 10th annual SummerNight Downtown Art Walk, hosted by the City of Auburn / Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, Auburn Arts Association, Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities (Pebble Hill) and Auburn Downtown Merchants Association was a huge success! The SummerNight Committee would like to thank all sponsors, artists, merchants, bakers, patrons, parade participants, staff and volunteers!
All who attended SummerNight enjoyed an evening full of fun that included a Starting Line Party at Pebble Hill and Cookie Walk parade with local organizations and grand marshal, Eric Stamp; live musical entertainment provided by the Soul Coalition of East Alabama; original artwork by over 50 local and regional artists in our Artists Marketplace, late-night shopping and dining with downtown merchants; children’s activities held at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church; and a cookie baking contest and sale with all proceeds benefitting the Auburn Arts Association.
This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors.
Special thanks to our Community Sponsors: Adams Beverages, Auburn and Opelika Tourism Bureau, Cake-a-potamus, Kate 99.9 FM, Kathy Powell State Farm, the Opelika-Auburn News and STAMP. The SummerNight Committee would also like to thank our Business Partners: AuburnBank, Chick-fl-A Magnolia Ave., and Little Italy Pizzeria.
Through the good will of our sponsors and hosts, SummerNight brings the community together in a creative downtown atmosphere where the arts are accessible to everyone. We hope everyone will join us for SummerNight 2017! For more information, please visit www.auburnsummernight.org or contact the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center at (334) 501-2963.
