Join the Auburn Arts Association (AAA) for an exhibition of Patchwork Quilts and Blue Jean Creations by Flavin Glover. Glover is an internationally known quilt designer, teacher and author. Her workshops are conducted throughout the United States and abroad. The public is invited to come meet the artist, to wear their bling with their denim and blue jeans, to enjoy food, wine and music by the Electric Rangers and to join or renew their AAA membership. All will receive a take-home gift created by area artists.
The reception will take place on Jan. 20 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center.

Currently on view in the Art Gallery at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center are 30 recent works by 20 Alabama artists.
Artists were invited to submit works reflecting personal interpretations of the theme – maps. Included are paintings, collages, watercolors, photographs, fabrics and mixed media works.
Featured are seven original hand-drawn maps by Auburn artist and designer Rich Britnell, owner of Geographics and Professor of Industrial Design at Auburn University.
