The Auburn Arts Association (AAA) is accepting photographs to be included in a new competitive photography exhibition featuring works by local teenagers. The PhotoTeen Juried Photography Exhibition will be on view in the small gallery at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) from Feb. 16 to March 21.
The show is open to local students aged 13 to 18 (grades 8 – 12). One or two photographs may be entered. Subject matter and photographic techniques are open. Works may be of any size, but they must be presented in white mats or mounted on white boards. Accepted works will be displayed unframed. Entry forms will be available at JDCAC, Cameragraphics and J&M Bookstore. Forms are also available online at auburnarts.org. Works are due at the JDCAC by Friday, Feb. 9.
Awards will be announced on Thursday, Feb. 22, During the “Teen TBD” event being held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine art.
